Friendly and loving, we have had Jay Jay since he was a pup. He loves to cuddle on our laps and watch TV. If he spies an animal, he gets really excited and runs to the TV for a closer look, tail wagging. He has a special love of toys that squeak and likes to lay them in your lap with pleading eyes, hoping for a game of catch. In fact, fetch is his favorite game. He will keep bringing back the ball until his tongue is hanging out and he is panting happily. Always wanting to please, he learns quickly. Since he loves to be with us, he learned out to open our latch handles. We had to install child locks to keep him out of certain rooms. He can even open the front door, and if we forget to lock it when we go to get the mail at the bottom of the drive, he will soon be walking beside us. If he really wants to, he even learned how to find a place in the fence where it has a small gap between the bar and the ground an squeeze under. It's not a worry because he never goes further than where he can find us. We named him Jay Gatsby because like the character he looks spiffy in his faux tuxedo natural outfit. A true tuxedo has a white collar that encircles the neck.
