Smile, It’s a Labradoodle!

Updated: Aug 7

Labradoodles bring smiles to people worldwide.

Today's blog is 532 words ... 2 to 3-minute read

The Main Idea: Labradoodles are devoted, forever friends and are increasingly being used as service and therapy dogs.

Labradoodles are (at the very least!) 12 things:

  1. Friendly

  2. Love people of all kinds

  3. Loving and snuggly

  4. Easy-going – eager to learn and please

  5. Intelligent

  6. Easy to train

  7. Desire to please

  8. Deep bonding ability - loyal

  9. Low shedding and beautiful coat

  10. Allergy Friendly

  11. Require light exercise

  12. Have a goofy, happy-go-lucky side every one adores

Ensuring your labradoodle from a reputable breeder is prime in ensuring your labradoodle has these wonderful traits.

Sadly, there are a lot of breeders out there who have not taken the time to educate themselves, to learn how to make good decisions in breeding and puppy raising.

Adopting your labradoodle from a reputable labradoodle breeder will make all the difference!

Ten Essential Questions to Ask a Labradoodle Breeder:

1. Are all parent dogs tested for hip and elbow dyplasia and disease?

2. Are all breeding stock screened for temperament, conformation, health, and coat?

3. Are the puppies pedigreed?

4. Does the breeder know and put in place best breeding practices for parent dogs and puppies?

5. Does the breeder offer education to the puppy family on care, training, health, grooming, socialization, bonding, and other tips?

6. Does the breeder belong to an organization that requires testing and ethical practices such as the Worldwide Australian Labradoodle Association (WALA)?

7. Do the puppies grow up in a clean, brain-stimulating puppy area?

8. Does the breeder provide at a two-year, or longer, health guarantee, and a lifetime of support?

9. Are the puppies vet checked, vaccinated and microchipped?

10. Is there a puppy agreement that includes a promise to de-sex all pet puppies?

At Coastal, we do all these things and more. Our puppies become beloved family members and often become good therapy and service dogs. Reputable Labradoodle breeders begin the process of bonding, training, and socialization. It is up to you to continue the love and gentle molding of your labradoodle.

Let me introduce you to just a few of the puppies we bred raised here at Coastal Labradoodles. There are many, many more!

From Sharon: Luca (born at COASTAL Labradoodles, July 29, 2021) has become a wonderful emotional support “lap dog” for me. He is always at my side and so sweet, funny and affectionate. Thank you for Luca!❤️🐶

Coastal sisters Millie and Lydia go everywhere with their Mom and Dad. They love to go camping, to the beach, or just hang out at the pool with the other grandkids. There is not a day goes by when one of these girls does not bring smiles!

Labradoodles make exceptional family pets. We love when families send us pictures of their beloved 4-footed family member.

Our son got his first labradoodle at 12 years of age. He had dog allergies, but never an issue with Coco, even though she sleeps in his bed. Coco is now 14 years old with senior issues, like being slow to wake up. She still wiggles from paws to tip of the tail when he comes home, even if he's only gone a few minutes.
